Care Guide
First — let's talk about the lint.
If you've owned a squishy for more than a week, you've probably noticed: it picks up lint, dust, that one cat hair from a couch you don't even own. You wipe it off. It comes back.
That's not your squishy being broken. That's how it stays soft.
The same micro-tackiness that makes a squishy feel right — that slow, satisfying drag when you press it — also makes it grab onto stuff in the air. It's literally a tradeoff: a squishy that doesn't pick up lint is a squishy that doesn't feel like a squishy.
So instead of fighting it, we made a tiny ritual.
What you'll need
- 1 small jar of plain baby powder (any brand, unscented if possible)
- 1 soft makeup brush OR clean fingers
- 30 seconds of patience
- Your sticky friend
(That's it. No special products. We are not selling you a separate cleaner. The "secret" is baby powder.)
The 5-step SPA ritual
Step 1 · Inspection (5 seconds)
Hold your squishy under good light. Notice where the lint or dust is concentrated.
Step 2 · Powder bath (10 seconds)
Sprinkle a small amount of baby powder all over the surface. Don't be shy. Coat it.
Step 3 · Gentle massage (30 seconds)
Use your fingers (or the soft brush) to very gently tap and circle around the surface. The powder will lift the lint, dust, and any sticky residue. Do not press hard — this is a spa, not a workout.
Step 4 · Powder off (10 seconds)
Either tap the squishy over a sink so excess powder falls off, or use the makeup brush to gently dust off the surface.
Step 5 · Behold (∞ seconds)
Your buddy is now back to its original soft, clean, slightly fluffy feeling. The texture is restored. The bond is renewed. You are at peace.
How often?
- For a desk squishy in dusty environments → once a week
- For a backpack squishy that travels → every 2–3 days
- For a display-only squishy → once a month
You'll know when it's time. The texture starts feeling slightly draggy or sticky. That's the cue.
What NOT to do
- ❌ Do not wash with water and soap. Most squishies absorb water and become dense, sad bricks.
- ❌ Do not put in the fridge or freezer. It does the same thing as water — destroys the cell structure.
- ❌ Do not use alcohol-based wipes. They strip the soft outer layer.
- ❌ Do not use cornstarch as a substitute. It works for 1 day then leaves residue.
A note from the founder
I have ~80 squishies. The ones that feel the best, even after a year, are the ones I've SPA'd consistently. The ones I forgot about feel like crusty marshmallows. There is a difference.
Treat your buddy like the tiny pet it secretly is. ✨

FAQ
Q: Will baby powder discolor my squishy?
A: Plain unscented baby powder is fine. Avoid colored or heavily scented versions — those have additives that can yellow over time.
Q: My squishy got stained. Will SPA fix it?
A: SPA fixes lint and surface dust. For ink, food, or makeup stains, gently dab with a barely-damp cloth (not soaked).
Q: Why is mine still sticky after SPA?
A: Some squishies are extra-tacky out of the box. Do the SPA twice on day one, then once a week for the first month. By month two it stabilizes.
Q: I lost my squishy's name card.
A: Email us at hello@easewell.com with a photo and we'll send you their name + birthday + personality again. (We keep records.)
